XIBATE’21-An Intercollegiate Management Meet

COMMON RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Maximum number of 20 (Twenty) UG (Final Year from Arts/Science/Engineering) students can participate from an Institution (Either Self-finance/Regular Course or Combination of Both) is allowed.

2. Each Institution should participant at least in 3 events (Events numbered from 1 to 7) to participate in the event Corporate Walk.

3. Registration fee of Rs. 150 per participant.

4. The students should register for the events online through the registration link or the REGISTER tab

5. All the participants should bring their College Identity Cards.

6. The Group events will be awarded more weightage than individual events while deciding Overall Championship.

7. The decision of the Jury is final, no appeal will be entertained.

8. In all the events, the medium of language should only be in English.

9. Participants should not use Mobile Phones during events.

10. The participants are asked to pay and register online on or before 4th November 2021

11. Participation certificates will be issued to all the participants.

12. Lunch and refreshment will be provided.

13. Participants are expected to maintain discipline and decorum at all times inside the campus.

14. On prior requisition from the participants, the accommodation will be arranged and the charges must be borne by the participants.

NOTE: Proper physical distancing and wearing of masks must be ensured by all the participants.

EVENT GUIDELINES


THE CLASSIC

The aim of this event is

• To identify the student with traits of the Best Manager

• To find out how he/she demonstrates the use of skills, knowledge and talent of the Best Manager in times of difficulties

• To test how he/she uses strategies to solve problems ethically

Evaluation Criteria

• Self-Branding – 10 Marks.

• Situation Handling – 10 Marks

• Communication skills – 10 Marks.

• Comprehension – 10 Marks

• Attitude – 10 Marks

Rules

• Individual participation

• ONE participant from an institution is allowed

• Participants must come in appropriate dress code.

• The participant of this event should not participate in any other event except the event corporate walk.

• The participant has to submit a hard copy of resume with photograph.


THE A-TEAM

The aim of this event is

• To identify the students with traits of team management skills.

• To find out how best the team demonstrates their decision-making skill in times of difficulties.

• To test how it uses strategies to solve problems ethically and critically.

Evaluation Criteria

• Leadership – 10 Marks.

• Collaboration – 10 Marks

• Communication skills – 10 Marks.

• Creativity – 10 Marks

• Critical Thinking – 10 Marks

Rules

• One team from an institution is allowed.

• SIX members should be in a team.

• Participants must come in appropriate dress code.

• The participant of this event should not participate in any other event except the event corporate walk.

• The team will be assessed in various rounds based on the criteria given


LOGO INTRIGUING

The aim of this event is to bring out the creativity and innovation among the youngsters.

Evaluation Criteria

• Brand Name – 10 Marks.

• Slogan – 10 Marks

• Design – 10 Marks.

• Justification – 10 Marks

Rules

• Individual participation.

• ONE participant from an institution is allowed.

• The product will be given by the organizers on the spot

• The participants have to use their own materials like Charts, Sketch, Crayons, Pencils, Eraser, etc.

• The participant of this event cannot participate in the event Poster Making


POSTERONICS

The aim of this event is to encourage students to think creatively about enterprising the business development ideas through their posters.

Evaluation Criteria

• Creativity – 10 Marks.

• Relevance to the Topic – 10 Marks

• Artistic Composition – 10 Marks.

• Presentation – 10 Marks

• Justification – 10 Marks

Rules

• The scenario will be given by the organizers on the spot

• Only one team from an institution is allowed

• The design should be creative

• The participants should come with their own Laptop for making the poster

• One hour will be given for the preparation

• Each team will be given 2 minutes for explaining their product idea presented in their poster

• The participants of this event cannot participate in the event Logo Designing


VIZ-PRO

The aim of this event is to test the ability of the team to create curiosity and buzz around the brand before the big reveal.

Evaluation Criteria

• Quality – 10 Marks.

• Visuals – 10 Marks

• Creativity in Introducing the Brand – 10 Marks.

• Presentation – 10 Marks

• Positioning – 5 Marks

• A Call-To-Action – 5 Marks

Rules

• One team from an institution is allowed.

• THREE members should be in a team

• The product will be given by the organizers half an hour before the event

• The team should present the brand teaser in the form of video

• The length of the video should be from 30 to 60 seconds

• The team should name their brand related to the product given

• The team should present in the teaser the information about the brand like name, logo, slogan and significance

• One hour will be given for the preparation

• Each team will be given 3 minutes for presentation and justification

• The participants have to come with their own presentation materials like Laptop and required Applications installed in the laptop

• The participants of this event cannot participate in the event Ad-Zap


ADVERTEASE

The aim of this event is to test students’ advertising skill, to measure the team spirit of the contestants and to bring out the creativity, time management, marketing skills of the innovative minds relevant to the theme of this management meet.

Evaluation Criteria

• Branding – 10 Marks.

• Creativity – 10 Marks

• Presentation – 10 Marks.

• Coordination – 10 Marks

• Justification – 10 Marks

Rules

• One team from an institution is allowed.

• FIVE members should be in a team.

• The product will be given by the organizers half an hour before the event

• The team should display the advertisement to promote the given product

• The duration for portraying the Ad is 5 minutes per team

• The participants have to come with their own presentation materials

• The participants of this event cannot participate in the event Brand Teaser


EL-EXAMEN

The aim of this business quiz event is to measure and enhance the knowledge of the students in the field of business and current affairs.

Rounds

• Round 1 – Prelims

• Round 2 – Word Champ

• Round 3 – Connections on Products/Brands

• Round 4 – Rapid Fire Round on Current Affairs & Business

• Round 5 – Identify the Brand - Audio / Visual Ads

Rules

• The event has five rounds.

• Only one team from an institution is allowed.

• TWO members in a team.


OFFICE PAGEANT

The aim of this corporate walk competition is to gauge the creative way of highlighting the theme of this management meet – ‘Youth for Greater Heights’

Evaluation Criteria

• Appearance – 10 Marks.

• Etiquette – 10 Marks

• Gestures – 10 Marks.

• Coordination – 10 Marks

• Depicting the Theme – 10 Marks

Rules

• Only ONE TEAM from an institution is allowed.

• There can be 6-10 members in a team.

• The contestants should not use verbal communication

• The attire needs to be decent and showcase professionalism.

• The Corporate Walk should be corporate theme based.

• Each team will be given 5 minutes.

• The sound track should be brought by the participants and it has to be submitted to the event coordinator one hour before the commencement of the event

• Corporate Walk Score will only carry weightage to overall championship.
